In short
Ledge creates no account and includes no advertising, product telemetry or behavioral tracking. Content handled by the application remains on the Mac, except for network requests strictly required for updates and selected content already provided by a third-party service.
Data handled by the application
- Settings and profiles: stored locally in macOS preferences.
- Notes and timers: stored locally to restore application state.
- Clipboard: history is kept in memory by default. Optional disk persistence is encrypted, with its key stored in the macOS Keychain. Disabling persistence deletes the stored file.
- Drop Zone: user-selected file references are handled locally and temporarily.
- Calendar: the next event is read locally after permission is granted and is not sent to the publisher.
- Media and shortcuts: information supplied locally by macOS, Music, Spotify or Shortcuts to provide the requested feature.
macOS permissions
Accessibility, Automation, Notifications and Calendar permissions are requested in context for a specific feature. They may be denied or withdrawn in System Settings. A macOS permission is a technical authorization and does not allow the publisher to receive data stored on the Mac.
Application network communications
- Updates: Sparkle checks the update feed and files published on GitHub Releases. GitHub receives the usual technical request data, including the IP address.
- Spotify artwork: when macOS does not provide the image, Ledge may load the artwork URL supplied by Spotify. The image host receives the technical data needed for that request.
Ledge does not send clipboard history, notes or calendar data to Adrien Marques.
Data handled by the website
The website currently uses no accounts, forms, advertising cookies or audience measurement. Vercel may process technical logs needed for security and operation, such as the IP address, date, requested resource, browser and diagnostic information. Downloads and release history use GitHub, which the browser contacts directly.
Purposes, recipients and transfers
Technical processing delivers and secures the service, diagnoses errors and provides downloads. Providers that may receive technical data are Vercel, GitHub, and Spotify or its image host. Some operate in the United States under their own data-protection safeguards and policies.
Retention, rights and contact
Adrien Marques maintains no Ledge user database. Local data remains under the user's control and can be erased from the application. Providers retain technical logs under their own policies. For a data request, email adrien227@gmail.com. Depending on the circumstances, you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction or objection and may lodge a complaint with the CNIL.
