Purpose and acceptance
These terms form the license to use Ledge. By downloading or using the application, you acknowledge and accept them. If you do not agree, do not install Ledge or stop using it. Ledge is currently provided free of charge, with no purchase or subscription.
License granted
Adrien Marques grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable right to install and use the Ledge binary on compatible Macs for lawful personal or internal professional use. No ownership right in Ledge, its name, logo, code or interfaces is transferred.
Prohibited uses
Unless authorized in writing or expressly permitted by law, you may not:
- copy, republish, distribute, sell, rent or sublicense Ledge;
- compile or distribute the publicly visible source code;
- modify Ledge or create a derivative product from it;
- remove ownership notices or circumvent technical safeguards;
- use Ledge unlawfully or infringe the rights of others.
Permissions, data and third-party services
Some features require a macOS permission or third-party service. You may refuse those permissions, in which case the relevant feature may be limited. Music, Spotify, GitHub, Vercel and Apple remain governed by their own terms and policies. Data handling is described in the privacy policy.
Updates and availability
Ledge may provide updates through Sparkle. An update may fix, add, change or remove a feature to maintain compatibility, security or quality. No service level or indefinite retention of a feature is guaranteed.
Warranty and liability
Ledge is provided as is and may contain errors, particularly where integrations depend on macOS or interfaces that may change. To the extent permitted by law, the publisher does not warrant uninterrupted operation or compatibility with every future macOS version. You remain responsible for your data, backups and actions initiated through Ledge. Nothing excludes a right or liability that cannot legally be excluded.
Termination, changes and governing law
You may stop using Ledge at any time. The license ends after a material breach, after which unauthorized copies must no longer be used or distributed. Updated terms may be published as the software or legal framework changes. French law governs these terms, subject to mandatory rules in your country of residence.
